Silent Book Club In-Person
Do you have trouble making time to read? Is your home full of distractions? Are you an introvert who still enjoys a chance to get out of the house? If any of these situations apply to you, come to a meeting of our own chapter of Silent Book Club. Unlike a traditional book club, there are no assigned readings and no deadlines. Bring a book of your own choosing, or pick out a new one at the library, and we’ll have an hour of silent reading time together. Light refreshments will also be provided, and you can also bring your own snacks or music to listen to (with headphones).
Reading time is 6:30-7:30pm. If you'd like to chit-chat with the other attendees or discuss what everyone is reading, you can arrive up to 15 minutes early or stay up to 15 minutes late for optional socialization time.
