In Conversation: Amity Gaige author of Heartwood In-Person

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon with acclaimed novelist Amity Gaige, author of the 2025 bestseller Heartwood, hailed by The Boston Globe as “the best thriller of 2025” and chosen as a Read with Jenna book club pick.

Enjoy complimentary refreshments, sweet treats, and live piano music, hosted by the Friends of the Trumbull Library, along with a silent raffle featuring themed prizes inspired by Heartwood.

Heartwood follows Valerie Gillis, a forty-two-year-old woman who disappears in the Maine wilderness, and the two women who search for answers - Beverly, a Maine State Game Warden, and Lena, a seventy-six-year-old birdwatcher in Connecticut. As their stories intertwine, a haunting mystery of survival and connection unfolds.

Books will be available for purchase, courtesy of Black Rock Books. A book signing will follow the discussion. Skip the line and preorder your copy of Heartwood today! Presale books may be picked up at the Trumbull Library on the day of the event.
