Block Printing on Textiles with Laura Miller In-Person
Block printing on fabric can be a great way to customize clothing, bags or create a hand-made gift for someone. In this class, we will get a hands-on overview of the process. You'll go home with your hand carved block, printed tea towel as well as ideas to keep exploring. Everyone will carve their own design from a linoleum block with tips for designing for textiles, transferring the design onto the block and using the carving tools. We will use ink pads for ease of cleanup and finishing. You can print your design several times on the tea towel and mix it up with pre-made blocks or blocks carved by other participants.
